Here I'm sitting, silent worry. Waiting in the night. Waiting for the final word, In the absence of the light.
I breathe in deeply, And choke back tears. I cannot help but know, The manifesting of my fears.
I'm engulfed in fear of losing, I don't know if I will. And so I wait unending. In my silent vigil.
A minute takes forever. The night, it never ends. Time stands still, eternal, My terror does not end.
After midnight, comes and goes. I wait for good or ill. I listen for the phone to ring
